Update on Timeless

 Hello Everyone,

I finished two of the side, green borders and then put the quilt aside to get ready for company this weekend.

I have a thought about offering this quilt as a kit in a 'pick-your-own-size' to suit your sanity level as follows:

48" includes the row of baskets.

66" includes the green border.

83" includes the red ribbon border

96" includes the entire quilt.

This idea seems to be a big hit on my FB page and Instagram.  What are your thoughts?  Is this something you would be interested in if I offered the kit in several different sizes?

Looks like next week’s forecast is proudly sponsored by “Winter Chaos, Inc.” We’re talking a real barnburner of a snowstorm; the kind that makes you question all your life choices, especially the ones involving where you live.

Time to hunker down, stock up on supplies like you’re prepping for a week-long hibernation, drag the firewood somewhere vaguely reachable, and shovel a little path to the generator. This storm is apparently strong enough to knock down trees, which in turn could knock out the power, which in turn will knock out my will to shovel.

And if we really do get 21 inches of snow in a single day, well… consider this my early “See you in Spring!” message.

Soon - I hope,
Lynn

  1. Hi Lynn Definitely I want a pattern but probably not a kit. I used to work in a quilt shop and have more fabric than I will ever sew! I tell all my new quilting friends to try one of your patterns because they are written so well and teach so may skills. You never disappoint! This oe is another keeper quilt!

  2. That is so nice, Donna! I worked in a quilt shop too and I understand the fabric issue! I will be selling the pattern as a stand alone without a kit.

  3. When will the pattern be available?

    1. As soon as I get it written, proofed, and printed, Jane. Probably sometime in the beginning of April. Thank you for asking.

  4. I totally hear you and feel for you with the snow amounts. We are due to receive about 18 inches here in the SoCal mountains at the same time you are getting snowed in. I am stocked food and gas wise and shovel is at the door. This will be our first snow for this winter. Take care and stay warm.

    1. Hasn't this been the strangest Winter? Yesterday we bought enough food to feed an army. We also got gas.....I don't know why because the roads will be so impacted we won't be able to go anywhere. You take care too and hunker down and quilt!

  5. I will be watching your weather. Having been to your place, I can’t imagine 21” of snow in a week, let alone a day. I would be hunkered down like I was in Alaska. At least you have plenty to do!

    1. Yes, you know our driveway is like a slippery luge run when it snows! We only turn on the generator in the morning (so I can make my coffee) and at night. If the power goes out during the day, I can still work on the pattern and cut out the remaining rows.
