Hello Everyone,
In between working on the BOM for Marcus Fabrics, I've been working on Betsy's Blessing. I still haven't decided how big or small I'm going to make this cutie.
You have to make a lot of strip sets, and half-square triangles for this little block.
You will begin by cutting the following to make the sashing units.
Cut a strip of yellow that measures 5" x width of fabric. Then subcut it into 1-1/2" sections.
Cut a strip of red that measure 1" x width of fabric. Then subcut it into 1" squares
Draw a line on each one of the squares from corner to corner. This is your stitching line.
I don't know what I was thinking, but I decided to migrate the bookkeeping for my business to the online version of Quick Books on January 1st. I've been using the same software for 10 years. You know that phrase about teaching an old dog new tricks? Well, I'm not sure that it applies to this old dog. I've been glued to my office chair for hours at a time. I think I've finally got it figured out, and actually like the power of the new system. The only problem is......when I loose my Internet connection, I'm up a creek without my accounting paddle.
On another note, I called our health care provider, and now we have an appointment to get the first installment of the vaccine. I am so excited to get this process started in the next couple of weeks. When I called, I was on hold for 2 hours and 10 minutes.....it was worth the wait even though I had to listen to the recorded message about 1,000 times.

Looks like I have to line up another quilt project - yippee! I've always loved this block, Lynn, and while my Betsy stash probably isn't anywhere near as large as yours (wink), I know I'll have enough! Terrific for getting an appointment for that all important Vaccination!! We have yet to hear, but I'm sure it's coming. Is November really looking like a reality?! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteyou seem to have a magic touch with putting beautiful fabric colors together... or is it just the fabric line?
ReplyDeleteI give 95% of the credit to the fabric designer. I'll take 5% for deciding which fabrics go together with the fussy cut center. All of Betsy's fabrics play well with others.
DeleteI'm enjoying the joining of the stars and churn dash blocks, two of my favorites. I don't have any Betsy fabrics, so will work with my stash once again.
