The Happy Quilters

Hello Everyone,

Here are the quilters who were in their "happy place" for the last four days, at my Sew'n Wild Oaks retreat at Blue Lake Springs in Arnold, CA.

This is me with my sister, Gail.

Now we have pictures of tablemates and friends.

This group of talented, creative women are responsible for the pictures of the gorgeous quilts that I've posted over the past few days.  What fun we had!

Now I'm off to set up my booth for the quilt show at Ironstone Winery in Murphys, Ca.  If you can, stop by my booth in the vendor room.  It takes a village to set up a booth, and several of us will be working on it today.

I've been totally immersed in quilters and quilting over the past week.  Is there any better place to be? I've drawn so much inspiration from this group.  I love you all and can't wait until we are together again.

Soon,
Lynn

Creativity to the Max

Hello Everyone,

This is a picture heavy post to show you the creativity in the room at the Sew'n Wild Oaks retreat.

No rain meant we could go for a walk around the lake after brunch.

I was amazed there were any leaves left on the trees after our rain and wind storm.

Chain piecing to the max!

A beautiful Buttonwood quilt made by Beth.

The little strips finish at 1/4"!

Barbara started making this quilt on Sunday......here it is by Tuesday!

Barbara's Nutcracker of the month quilt.  Each one is beautifully, and uniquely embellished.

Here is Candace with her Country Romance quilt.

This is going to be the amazing back to the quilt.

Are Gail and Paula reflecting on their next project? The retreat next year? Or are they reflecting on the fact that Lynn made us sit here for a photo op?  I could possibly be the later.

Again, we had another fabulous day at the retreat.  Today is our last day together, then I have to get packed up to be a vendor at my local quilt guild's show this weekend.  By Sunday I'll be walking around dazed and confused.....my normal state!

Soon,
Lynn
