Hello Everyone,
The Holidays are over just in time to start getting ready for another special day....Valentine's Day. I was searching the Internet for free vintage Valentine images and found this great one for a pillow center and immediately started picking out fabric and making the double flying geese.
While I was on the computer, I got an email from Lea over at Podunk Pretties She sent me a image she created in EQ7 with a vintage valentine in the center using my Nostalgic Christmas pillow pattern. This is just so cute with the polka dots and checks. Love it! I was so surprised that Lea and I were working on the exact same idea at the same time! Great minds think alike.
I guess I'm going to have to rename the Nostalgic Christmas pillow pattern to Nostalgic Pillows. While I was searching the Internet for free images, I found many for St. Patrick's Day, Easter, 4th of July.......
I save the images with a right hand mouse click, re-size them in a drawing program, then print them out on Printed Treasures fabric. Works like a charm.
I'm off to my Sew'n Wild Oaks drop-in class this morning at In Between Stitches. I can't wait to see the girls and see what they've been working on since we last met. When I come home, I'm going to work on my pillows and get ready for Valentine's Day.
Soon,
Lynn
We are finishing putting Christmas away today, but......I'm using the red candles I have all about and calling them my valentine candles....LOL Love the pillows.....

ReplyDeleteBoth projects are so beautiful! Love what you can create with the same framing idea. I am continuing to sew my Nostalgic Christmas blocks, taking my time, and enjoying them immensely!
