Hello Everyone,
I only have a few minutes to post today as I'm off to teach in Turlock this morning. Just a quick update on the Dresdens. This pattern needs a name so put on those thinking caps and send me your suggestions.
Right now I plan on setting four blocks across and four down. BUT, the blocks are so much fun to make that I just may have to keep producing blocks. The skinny brown stripped flange set them off beautifully next to the brown polka dots.
The fabrics are from Elizabeth's Dowry by Karen Styles for Marcus Fabrics. The starburst is a digitally printed panel.
If someone sends me a name that I use for this pattern, I'll make it worth your while!
Soon,
Lynn
Wow! Beautiful ♥

ReplyDeleteSpinnin' Wheel, Spinnin' True ... Your lovely quilt blocks took my mind to thoughts of a painted pony and colors that are real from "Spinning Wheels' by Blood, Sweat & Tears.
ReplyDelete"Nuts and Bolts" this is what I see in the center of the block . I love this block.
ReplyDeleteDresden is the capitol city of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. The city was known as the Jewel Box. My suggestion is "Dresden Jewels" or "Jewel Box Dresdens." This block is amazing !!!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Elizabeth's Dresden Dowry...or a cuter version..."Lizzie's Dowry"...I wonder what Emilie Elizabeth would think???

DeleteI suggest "Naughty-cal Dresdens"because of the look of a boat's steering mechanism.
