Just a quick post before we set out for another day of playing tourist in our beautiful state with our company from Pennsylvania.
We spent a glorious day in San Francisco on Friday. You know the saying, "When you're going to San Francisco, don't forget to wear flowers in your hair." The flowers were gorgeous throughout the city.
Of course we went for a ride on the cable cars. The last time we did this, it costs a quarter....yes 25 cents. This time it cost $12.00 round trip....but worth it.
Coit Tower in the distance from our cable car.
The Golden Gate Bridge in early afternoon with the fog beginning to creep in.
We drove and walked down Lombard, the crookedest street in the world.
After dinner at Pier 39, it was time to board our boat to see Alcatraz by night.
The fog was rolling in and we knew it was going to get cold.....and it did!
No room in the cell for a sewing machine!
By the time our tour was finished, it was cold, dark, windy and we were ready to board our boat for the shore and home.
More travels around our state today while enjoying our Mother's Day.
I hope everyone reading this has a beautiful day with your family.
As always,
Lynn
