Grammys Again

Hello Everyone,

Now isn't this cute?  I love fussy cutting all of the little petals for the flowers which will be along the border of my Grammy Squares quilt.

I plan to incorporate the fabrics that are in the quilt into the border.  The smaller flowers are 1/2" hexagon papers and the larger one starts with a 3/4" paper.

The quilt grew by fourteen additional blocks added to it.  I have a few blocks made which need to be sewn to the quilt.  I can stitch "Y" seams in my sleep.

I have 9 more centers cuts and the strips selected.  I organize them by pinning all of the selected colors as a unit.  I've found that making quite a few at once is preferable to making just one block at a time.

I have my work cut out for me today!  What about you?  Tap into those brain cells and do something creative and fun today.  You'll be glad you did!

Soon,
Lynn

  2. Looks like you've got a great system figured out and I can see why this helps to speed up the piecing process. LOVE this quilt!

  4. Love the fussy cut hexies! It looks like you have a good system for making your Grammy blocks. How many more are you going add to the quilt top?
