Hello Everyone,
Here are a few pictures of my quilting progress on Heritage.
The day began with the feathered border.
This grand plan didn't work for me. I picked it out not once, but twice. What took three minutes to quilt, takes an hour and three minutes to rip out.
It was time to step away from the machine, take Mazey to the dog park, and think about my problem.
I finally came up with something that was symmetrical. The crosshatching isn't showing up very well due to the angle of the sun.
Soon,
Lynn
Do you have your own energizer bunny helping you out??? Wow...
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the game and fingers crossed for a win!!
Just beautiful! Sorry you had to rip, that is never fun.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the challenges, but looking wonderful from what I can see! Enjoy the break!
ReplyDeleteSigh...such pretty feathers on that border...I think I'm in love!
ReplyDeleteIf I were there, I'd have lent you a hand with that ripping...I'm very good at it!
I love your feathers....nice and puffy. I'm not too found of the really skinny look.
ReplyDeleteMay I ask what you use to draw your spines for your feathers? They are always so perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove what I see.
ReplyDeleteJust like picking colors and piecing, quilting is also a process. It'll come to you. Keep working it!
ReplyDeleteI can feel your pain! I quilted a quilt when I first purchased my Handi Quilter - the bobbin was correct, and as a novice it was a disaster! Took 3 days and a willing hubby to rip that puppy!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like Grammy has another one in the "Win" column, Love you Quilt
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along beautifully. Gorgeous quilting. Cindy
