Cabin Quilting Day Two

Hello Everyone,

In between rain, hail, snow, sleet, thunder and lightning, we managed to get some quilting done yesterday when we weren't looking out the windows.  My sister is moving right along on her Lil' Orphan Scrappy blocks.  Gail has lots of pieces cut and ready to sew.  She has been like a kid in a candy store going through my stash, finding the perfect fabric to incorporate with her stash.

I worked on preparing the applique pieces for my mildly haunted house for October Magic. When I rummaged through my stash, I found some fabric for the windows that reminded me of bugs...perfect.

This looks like a door going into an outhouse.  Do you know why there is usually a crescent moon on the door of an outhouse?  It allowed the light from the moon and the stars to illuminate the interior of the privy. Who knew?

This is what we woke up to this morning.  Just too much fun!

We will be quilting the whole day.  Gail will be working on her table runners.  I'll be working on my house and pattern writing.  I'm trying to devote the morning to pattern writing (my least favorite activity) and the afternoon to applique. I'd rather be quilting for the entire day!

As always,

Lynn & Gail
