It seems strange to be working on blocks for Christmas while I'm getting prepared for Easter. As time permits, I've been disappearing into my sewing room to work on a few more blocks for Country Charmer.
April is a busy birthday month for us with four family birthdays. We decided to celebrate them all at once on Easter. Seventeen of us will gather around the table and weather permitting in the backyard to celebrate the arrival of Spring with our annual Wilder family softball game. I'm not sure how that got started, but as the little ones get bigger and hit the ball harder, the family elders have to run farther and faster to try to keep up with them.
I'll set up a craft table for egg coloring outside. Lawn darts this year instead of a water balloon toss since it is supposed to be chilly.
I'm making Peach-Amaretto Bread Pudding. I posted the recipe on the recipe tab at the top of this page. If I don't get too caught up in the activities this Sunday, I'll will try to remember to take a picture of the dish and post it with the recipe. It is delicious, and remember, calories do not count on holidays! I'll work my calories off during our softball game!
I hope you all enjoy your Easter week and celebrate the time of rebirth and renewal.
As always,
Lynn
