Sew'n Wild Oaks Class is in Session

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday was the 2nd Tuesday of the month and that means it's Sew'n Wild Oaks day at In Between Stitches.  The girls have prepared a quilting feast for you.

My sister Gail finished her borders on her 3-D Noughts and Crosses quilt.  This beautiful pattern is from Sue Abrey's Pick Four book.  There were many ohhh's and ahhhh's when this flimsy went up on the design wall!  Gail and I will be teaching this quilt in March of next year at In Between Stitches.

Barbara finished up two Nostalgic Christmas pillows yesterday.

She stitched in the ditch, put on the backing and voila, she is going to have an instant splash of color for the Holidays in her home.

Gail worked on her borders for Country Charmer.  The next time you see this quilt, it will be on my quilting machine.

Suzanne worked on her home for October Magic.  Pumpkins started decorating the outside of her house throughout the day.  This is going to be a stunner when she's finished.

Judy finished all of her corner blocks for Toyland Tree.  She's so determined to get this quilt finished and it's going to be an heirloom when it's done.

Marti is starting to applique her house for Chelsea Cottage by Blackbird Designs.  Love the colors of this little house!  It is so warm and cozy.

Evelynne finished her barn roof for Harvest of Hope.  I would love to have a roof this colorful on my house!

Barbara brought in her Midnight Star quilt by Mary Hickey.  This is a fun and easy pattern and Barbara did a wonderful with color selection when she attended my class last year.

Kathy, one of the "regulars" was unable to attend, but she brought in her FINISHED Party in the Garden quilt earlier in the month to show me.  It is amazing!  What is even more amazing is that this was Kathy's first attempt at applique!

The corner block finishes at 6".  Does that give you an idea just how small she made the little hexie flowers??  This was one of Kathy's personal additions to the quilt.....and what a gorgeous addition!

 Perfection.

My girls are the best and they are finishers.  So many beautiful, beautiful quilts and projects are completed month after month.  I've decided to clear my calendar and offer this class twice a month beginning in January.  So, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, the classroom will be full of ladies Sew'n their Wild Oaks and finishing up many more projects for you to see and be inspired.

Soon,
Lynn
