Hello Everyone,
Emilie Elizabeth is almost a flimsy. I made the four corners blocks which will reside in the borders. Those of you that have taken my Patchwork Math class can probably spot the quilting components I made for this block. See if you can pick them out. There are 12 half square triangles, 4 squares in a triangle, 4 flying geese....and a Partridge in a Pear Tree! Okay, I'm being silly now, but the table was full of an assembly line of components.
The 56 square in a square are all sewn together and attached to the quilt.
I'm really pleased with the explosion of color around this quilt. I tried to incorporate every fabric from the Judie's Quilt Album . I used only red fabrics in the first version of the quilt. I also added this little 1/2" of red inner border instead of using blue. It makes a nice addition to the quilt.
The 9" borders are all pieced, ironed and ready to go.
Please come back tomorrow.....the day of the big reveal!
Soon,
Lynn
I have my bag of popcorn ready for the big show!

ReplyDeleteAnd I'll be right there with Candace and Sue in that front row! I'm sure there are a lot of others who will be joining us! Will you share your popcorn, Candace?
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm joining you too for the big reveal. I like my popcorn buttered!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't miss it for the world!!! Do we need 3-D glasses???
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the whole thing!!
ReplyDeleteWell, I've looked, and I've looked, but can't see the partridge. Budge up on the front row and make room for a little (haha) one, perhaps I'll be able to see it then!
