With my daughter's wedding, babysitting 6-year-old-twins for a week, and having a booth at the Livermore Harvest Festival over Labor Day weekend, I've been remiss is updating the Blossom of Friendship blog site. Well, today seems like a good day to get back on track by introducing you to Miss Rose. I think I will be adding an embroidered outline stitch using a darker yellow around the yellow petals to add a bit of emphasis. I also need to stitch in a tail on the dragonfly. But of course, I'm here at the cabin and all of my embroidery thread is home in Livermore.....somethings will just have to wait until I get back to town.
Here's a picture of our booth at the festival. My husband enjoys woodworking and makes items out of wine barrels and wine barrel staves. He calls it "re-purposing".
He's up in his little shop right now just working away and having a ball. On more than one occassion though, he's slipped with the sander and he's minus a few fingerprints. I accuse him of trying to be in the witness protection program!
Speaking of husbands, on this date thirty-seven years ago, I spoke the most intelligent words I've ever uttered. I said "I Do" to this wonderful man.
This is a picture of us several, SEVERAL pounds and gray hairs ago that was taken in Hawaii at a formal event.
Here is how we really look. Jeans, boots and enjoying nature.
Treasure each and every day with your loved ones and friends. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that was a very gentle reminder about life. It said, "Wag more, bark less." So, let's all remember that and wag to our heart's content.
As always,
Lynn
