The Final Four

Hello Everyone,

I'm a little bit early posting the last blocks for Minglewood.  This was something that I wanted to cross off my to-do list this weekend and I did!  Those of you in the Minglewood BOM program will receive the fabric to make these blocks around the 15th of the month.  I made my final four blocks from leftover fabric for my quilt. We wanted to make sure all of you had enough fabrics, so this is what you will be getting in the mail soon.

Coronation Block
It is a little bittersweet that the Minglewood BOM is winding down.  I guess I'll have to come up with another BOM to keep all of us busy!

Stars and Pinwheels
The sashing fabrics are cut and waiting to be mailed at their appointed time.  The sashing will be a walk in the park to make.  I've heard from quite a few of you regarding this quilt.  Everyone loves the blocks and agrees that their piecing skills improved while making this quilt.  I agree completely.  My piecing skills improved also.

Double X
I have a couple of ideas for another block of the month program.  I've been running them by the boss to see what she thinks.  We are still trying to figure out and find the best quilt to offer.  A quilt that is challenging, colorful, fun to make and has blocks with lots of pieces so I can work in many different fabrics.  Remember, I don't do simple!

Flaming Star

That gives me an idea......maybe I should design a new BOM!   Time to put on my thinking cap and add a few more hours to each day.

As always,

Lynn

  6. Oh Lynn, just beautiful. I love the backgrond in the Coronation block and the pink tonal in the last block, but they are all gorgeous. I can hardly wait to finish up the outfits from the wedding gown so I can get busy quilting again.
