Crunch Time

Hello Everyone,

This week is crunch time.  I just have a few more days to prepare for the Georgetown Quilt Show sponsored by the Needle Nellies.   Nostalgic Christmas is quilted and the plaid binding is half finished.....and my arm is ready to fall off.

Some of the quilts that have been part of the traveling sisterhood quilt show are starting to come home to roost.  I have eight more quilts that will come back to me this week.  My living room has run out of living room.

Toyland Tree is finished.....well maybe.  If you look closely, I quilted some silver snowflakes in the background.  General consensus from everyone that stopped by over the weekend, suggested that I scatter more snowflakes around the tree.

Thank you to all in blogland for your encouraging emails.  Knowing that so many of you were following my progress kept me going, focusing on the finish line.  I have enjoyed your comments and personal emails more than you will ever know. Your belief in me made me believe in myself.  I was like the little Engine that could.....I think I can.....I think I can.  By golly I really think I can!

Soon,

Lynn

  2. The hardest thing was keeping our dog Zinnie, off the quilts while I took the picture. She wanted to roll herself up in them! --Lynn

  7. Methinks you just might not realize how extremely talented and skilled you are...so if we little quilt mortals could keep your little engine pumping, it is all good! Love that living room...who says couches are just for sitting?

    1. I was so glad I answered the phone at the shop the day you called Debbie! It was so nice to be able to chat with you. Toyland is going to be a BOM, and we will start taking signups soon. I'll keep you posted. The program is going to start in January 2013. I'll be cutting all the fabric and preparing the little packets monthly. There will be substitutions, but I'll try to keep as close to the original quilt as I can. --Lynn
