A Little Bit More.....

Hello Everyone,

My little pumpkin patch is growing something other than pumpkins.  I don't know what they are, but I think they are cute.

The leaves next to the pumpkin used to be green, but now they are gold with swirls.  I'll be changing my mind a thousand times before this quilt is finished.

All I want to do is work on this quilt but the pine needles in the yard keep calling my name.  This year is already starting to be a terrible year for fires in California.  So the more we rake, the better I feel that we are at least trying to mitigate the fire hazard.  I have plenty of rakes and gloves if anyone wants to join me.  We can have wheelbarrow races down the hill!

Soon,
Lynn

  1. This is fun to watch your new project grow.

Raking leaves is great exercise! Rake a little, create a little.

  2. It's going to be fun watching this one come together. Fingers are crossed that the fires keep a good distance; good luck with those pine needles.

  4. I like that the pumpkin has something different growing beside them. The colors blend beautifully with the pumpkin.

  7. Looks like you're developing a fall blooming, hybrid strawberry, Lynn! I love them! If we were there we would sure help you and Mr. Joe with the raking! I'll send my firefighting niece to guard the cabin for you!
    Cheers!

  9. This is going to be another Lynn masterpiece, I can see. Who knows, it might (I only said "might") even tempt me into trying applique.

The flowers look like Canterbury Bells to me by the way.

Oh and thanks, but I think I'll decline the Wheelbarrow race invitation!
