Hello Everyone,
Meet our new little Mazey. Our hearts were so empty with the loss of our precious Zinnie. The house was not the same without a dog.....until now. Now, we have little Mazey and we will be busier than ever!
The breeder named her Mazey, because it is amazing that she lived. She weighed only 7 ounces at birth, the rest of the litter was twice her size. She almost didn't make it through her first day.....but she did. The veterinarian and the breeder wanted to give her a chance at life, and bottle fed her for days. Now she has come to live with us. A healthy, robust, fat as a little gerbil, Golden Retriever.
Jess and Mazey have bonded. I'm sure the rest of the grandkids will too when they meet her.
Zinnie left paw prints in our hearts and gave us enough love to last us a lifetime. We will never forget her, and we will love and miss her forever. We will give Mazey the love and home she deserves. Oh the puppy stage.....I'd forgotten how puppies need to investigate EVERYTHING including quilt blocks! I had also forgotten how sharp their little teeth are too. My puncture wounds should heal soon.
Soon,
Lynn
Oh Lynn, she's so cute. In every picture she seems to be smiling.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! There is nothing like a puppy to make you smile.
ReplyDeleteLooks like this little sweetie just won the puppy lottery! Such joy on her face!
ReplyDeleteLook at the sweet face!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet baby! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! She looks like she is smiling in the last picture. I know you will enjoy having puppy love in your home.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Oh my gosh! We were so afraid that you might not adopt a new baby! Now I'm just amazed and can't wait to show Wayne that smiling happy little fuzzball teddy bear face! Just like me, you've gravitated to the little underdog who needed some help along the way. I am so tickled for you, so happy for Mazey (LOVE that name!) And I know her Guardian Angel is happy too!
ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely adorable! Runts of the litter, in my opinion, make the most absolute fantastic pets. They are usually more affectionate and loyal to their owner. When I picked out my Cody its a wonder I even saw him. He was on the bottom of a pile of his siblings. Dogs just steal your hearts dont they, especially puppies!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so glad! She is just adorable! Look at that little face! There is nothing more precious! Congrats to the new Mom and Dad! XO
ReplyDeleteOh Lynn - she is just the cutest little girl!!!! I am so glad you guys got a new baby! After we lost our yellow lab, about five years ago, my husband refused to get another one - he just couldn't take the heartbreak - and I've been sorely missing a dog in our home ever since. Mazey is very lucky to have a new home with such a wonderful family!! Love her pictures!!!
ReplyDeleteI wonderred how long it would be before there would be a new pup. She is adorable and looks very happy with her new home.
ReplyDeleteJust look at that adorable face ! I am so happy for you Lynn ! Mazey has found a very loving home

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, smiley face she has. She looks adorable and I bet Zinnie will be watching over her and teaching her all sorts of things - some good, some maybe rather mischievous! Seriously, I'm sure you'll all be very happy together.
ReplyDeleteShe has the sweetest, happiest-looking face! Congrats on your new puppy-kid.
ReplyDeleteShe is definitely a cutie! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh Lynn....I'm so happy a new furry critter has become part of your family! I can just see Zinnie wagging her tail in approval! What a special little girl to warm your hearts. Bob and I could not be happier for you both!
ReplyDeleteCheers!

ReplyDeleteOkay Lynn, I know this is my second 'comment' but I just love Mazy's pictures….it really does look like she is smiling and she looks like such a happy baby!!

ReplyDeleteOh Lynne, my hubby and I are so thrilled for you and your family. We look forward to many pictures and stories about Miss Mazey. Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteDearest Lynne, Mazey is totally gorgeous!! I'm sure Zinnie is smiling down on you, happy that another pup will enjoy the love and care of you and your family. It's a bit of a shock having a very young puppy again isn't it! I certainly had forgotten an awful lot. My little girl is now 14 weeks old and beginning to do as she is asked.....sometimes. I have done crate training this time after a bit of research. I have found it's so much easier and more effective as way of house training a pup. They don't like to mess where they sleep so they learn quickly. I have to get up a couple of times a night to let her out to go potty but it's worth it. During the day she just hangs out with me unless I have to go out, then I crate her. Good luck with the house training!!
ReplyDeleteTake care, Rowena
