Hello Everyone,
Today is the day to post Month #5 for Country Corners. As we progress, each block is getting a bit more complex.
Here are the components that are in this block. The block looks much more complex than it really is. This isn't rocket science, it just like a puzzle. If you trim your components to the correct size as listed above, all of the pieces will fit together beautifully.
If you would like to follow along, the directions to make the components are in my Patchwork Math book available HERE.

This is the same block in a different colorway with step by step assembly directions.
First, sew the center section together.
Stitch two of the little flying geese to the center section. Stitch the squares to the flying geese on the top and bottom of the block. Then sew the top and bottom to the completed center section.
Lay the next components out like this. Stitch the flying geese to the sides of the center section.
Put the corner sections together.
They will look like this.
Stitch the corners to the flying geese. Then sew the whole block together. As a general rule, I sew my blocks together horizontally and not vertically. Don't ask my why.....just a habit.
The 2nd Tuesday of the month means that I'm off to the shop today to be with my Sew'n Wild Oaks girls. I know one of them finished a very large flimsy and you will get to see it tomorrow!
Make it a good day for yourself and everyone you see.
Soon,
Lynn
