Sew'n Wild Oaks Class Was In Session

Hello Everyone,

We had another wonderful day in the classroom at In Between Stitches yesterday.  So many beautiful projects beginning with Susan's basket.  She is going to turn this into an 18" pillow.  The fabric roses are the perfect touch! She has plans for additional embellishments too, and will have this one finished in time for Easter.

Irene is working on her Heartfire quilt.  Her use of French General fabrics, and her fussy cutting are going to add so much detail to this quilt.

Gail is helping me by making blocks for my Lil' Orphan Scrappy BOM.  I don't want to get behind and underwater more than I already am.....so she's bailing me out four blocks at a time.

Jeanne is putting her Lil' Orphan Scrappy together.  All of her blocks are made, all of her border HST are made, she's ready to rock!

Kathy is finishing up her Harvest of Hope. This picture doesn't do her quilt the justice it deserves. Her attention to detail is beyond incredible!

Patty is decorating her sewing machine with Lil' Orphan Scrappy blocks.  Wonderful centers in each and every block.

Here are the dueling Once Upon a Vines by Marti and Suzanne.  Suzanne's is ready for the quilter, and Marti's will be finished soon.  These two ladies have been stomping a lot of grapes!

Suzanne had some leftover HST triangles that she put to good use and made a small wall hanging.  Excellent idea.

Judy is cranking out her Grammy Square blocks.  Warning......these little blocks become addicting!

As usual I was asleep at the switch and didn't get pictures of all the projects.  We had a full room of 14 quilters working and chatting the day away from 10am to 4pm.  I LOVE my girls!  I LOVE our time together.  You couldn't ask for better companionship.

Soon,
Lynn

  4. Just to make sure I get my measurements right, what is the FINISHED size of the outside half square triangles on Little Orphan Scrappy? OK-Math and I never got along.

    1. The HST's should be 4.75" X 4.75" before sewing the 2 blocks together. Once they are trimmed to this size, the row fits perfectly.
