Quilting Marathon

Hello Everyone,

Just a few more pictures to show this morning.  The sun comes in at a good angle in the late afternoon by my quilting machine, so that's the best time to get pictures.

I'm pleased with the cornucopia.  This is the only block where I stuck with my original machine quilting thoughts.  I use wool batting to get the extra "poofiness" that I like for my applique and pieced quilts.

I'm down to the bottom border and the corner pumpkins.  I'll turn the quilt and do the feathered border this morning.  I'll work on the binding during the 49er's preseason football game tonight.  The start of football season and the start of school means only one thing......Fall is just around the corner and I'm ready!

Soon,
Lynn

  1. Always inspired everytime you post your wonderful photos. You do such lovely work. I am hoping once my house sells, and I get relocated, I can get back to sewing again. Really miss my quilting stuff.

  2. Your quilting is to die for. I've just started practicing FMQ and it's NOT easy!! It took me awhile to afford the special foot, then it took me awhile to find the right one for my machine! It's an old Kenmore, slant foot, and I wouldn't trade it for all the tea in China.

  7. Awww....you're a 49er's fan!! If L.A. had a football team I would be an LA fan, LOL. I have adopted the 49er's as my team because I grew up in the S.F. east bay area (Antioch) and have lots of family who are die hard 49er fans.

And as for your absolutely lovely quilting on your quilt....well, it's just stunning and makes me drool. I admire your work Lynn!
