Butterscotch Baskets Quilt

Hello Everyone,

On Monday, my friend Barbara brought in her finished Butterscotch Basket quilt for me to see. Barbara changed the colors up a bit and added black to her pinwheels and baskets.  This is a wonderful change.

Barbara is a "finisher."  Once she begins a quilt, she sticks with it until it's done....no matter what!

Beth Hummel from Livermore, is Barbara's machine quilter and she did an extraordinary job.  The quilt was so amazing on the back, that it's almost reversible.

Barbara came to my retreat at the cabin this summer and made this quilt called Anna's Mountain designed by Denise Sheehan.  This quilt is also in the finished column.  I always have my camera ready when Barbara emails me and says she has something to show me.  I know it's going to be good.

My favorite thing to do at the shop is selecting fabrics and making kits.  This beautiful selection of fat 1/8's......

.....turned into this.....new little kits for my October Magic pattern.  The finished kits will be available for sale by Tuesday at In Between Stitches.  I just have to add some background fabrics and border material. I'll post the finished kits next week.

You could cast a magic spell and have this wall hanging completely finished by Halloween....well maybe not this year....but what about next year?

I'm whipping up some magic of my own today at my sewing machine. I'm seeing RED as in Midwinter Red, and that's all I'm going to say.  Pictures tomorrow.

Soon,
Lynn
