Country Charmer Quilt Along

Hello Everyone,

This is the first of the month and that means it's Country Charmer QAL update time.  The first of the month keeps rolling around way toooooo fast!

I want to thank Lesley, The Cuddle Quilter for organizing the QAL.  Go to Lesley's blog HERE for the QAL information.  Lesley just finished her sashing and posted pictures.  It is gorgeous, as I knew it would be!  Also, happy Canada Day to Lesley and all of my Canadian blog readers.

It's never to late to join in the no pressure, no deadline QAL.  Just work on it when you can.  My quilt is traveling to Oregon and will be on display in The Quilt House booth at the Oregon Summer Quilt Expo.  Stop by The Quilt House booth and tell Janet that Lynn sent you. The quilt expo is in conjunction with the quilt show in Sisters Oregon.

The quilt will then travel to the International Quilt Festival in Long Beach the first weekend in August and will be in The Quilt House booth again.  My quilts travel much more than I do!

I'm off to the shop to work this morning.  This is day 4 of our oppressive heat wave. Severe heat warnings were issued again this morning.  Melissa has invited everyone to come to the nice, cool shop for a fun day of sewing both today and Wednesday.  The shop will be a great "cooling center" so you can sew in comfort. I'll also be at the shop tomorrow teaching, so I'll be cool, calm and collected while spending the day with my friends.  Come on down and join us!

Soon,
Lynn

  1. This has been such a fun QAL and I have loved seeing eveyones take on colors - One pattern that has evolved into so many individual, personality quilts.

  3. Happy day to you! And thanks for the Canada Day wishes! Your quilt is just so darn beautiful, I know eyes will turn wherever it goes. Wouldn't I love to be the one taking it from place to place. Thanks for all your CC guidance and inspiration. I think Sharon's comments are right on the mark...the quilts all become as individual as the makers! Thank you for linking...and try to stay cool!
