Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the 2018 Online Quilters Meet & Greet! Many thanks to Benita from Victoriana Quilt Designs for setting all of this up. Over the next month, you will have the opportunity to meet many bloggers. When you visit their blogs, will you have the chance to enter a drawing to win some really great quilting items.
For those of you new to Sew'n Wild Oaks, let me introduce myself. My name is Lynn Wilder, and I am a traditional quilter. I love using up small pieces of fabric from my stash. Here's a great example of using 1" strips in my newest, soon to be published pattern called Cute as a Button.
In additional to designing, I also lecture and teach quilting workshops mainly in California. My most popular workshop is called Patchwork Math.....but I know there is a real aversion to math, so I've changed the name to Finessing the Figures.
I put a book together which contains the formulas to make 12 of the most common quilting components any size you want for blocks, sashings, or borders.
This quilt is a perfect example of the components in the book.

I have free classes in the Classroom section on The Quilt Show.com Click HERE and you can access all of my classes for FREE and you can learn the formulas and my piecing techniques to make quilting components.
Here are some examples of some of my Sew'n Wild Oaks quilt patterns. They are all designed, made and machine quilted by me.

Don't get me started on decorating with quilts! I LOVE to decorate my home with my quilts.
So come back often to see what I've been up to. Check out my tutorials on the blog, my recipes, and my classes. Most of all, don't forget to enter to win the Grand Prize during the Quilter's Meet and Greet.
Soon,Lynn

ReplyDeleteI have your Patchwork Math and it is such a big help. I can do the math ok, but I find that as I get older (and I mean OLDER), I am impatient to expend the thought energy on the math. I just want to get that sewing machine going and QUILT! :-)
