Winter Wonderland

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my world of shoveling.  We have to try and get out today to drive to Folsom and set up for the 3-day show.  My car is all packed and tucked safely in to garage.

It is 16 degrees this morning and the roads are frozen.  Here's the back of our garage.  It is a trek to get up the hill to the garage from the house.

The snow blower decided to break down and we are reduced to using snow shovels.  My girlfriend said it was good exercise to shovel. To that I say harrumph!

We had only a one-lane road for a few days.  It didn't really matter since we really couldn't or didn't need to go anyplace.

This has been my office for the past few dining room table.  I've been printing patterns, pricing and stuffing.

I've been enjoying the view, and tend to sit and stare throughout the day.

Gail and I are going to attempt driving out of the neighborhood today to get to the quilt show in Folsom, about a two-hour drive away.  We will be fine once we get to the main highway.  It's getting to the main highway that is the issue.

Wish us luck.

  1. Please be careful We have 17 degrees and snow and ice. Not fun!!

  2. Hi lyn! Can you call me! I left my cell # in my email to you!!! We cant make it out to the show either! Thanks Janet

  3. I think I would pass on the show.

  4. hOpe you two are safe!!! Have fun in folsom!!! Love your pics of the snow, but I'm glad I'm not in it!! :-) Hugs, H

  5. I'm sorry all that snow is causing such issues but it is gorgeous--I keep wishing we'd get that much but, strangely, it's been about 4 years since we've had a decent snow. I'd gladly take it off your hands. I love to shovel snow (I know, I'm weird). Safe travels!

  6. Wow I hope you had a safe drive. We are already at 80 degrees here in Central Florida. And not missing the bitter cold we had a couple of weeks ago.
