You Have Mail

Hello Everyone,

It feels good to get back into the swing of quilting. By tomorrow I should have more to show for my efforts.  Here is the newest version of the mailbox for Party in the Garden.  I've had lots of fun working in a different color palette this time around.  I will finish this section today and start working on the birdhouse next.  Applique just can't be hurried.  One slow piece at a time and that's after I decide what fabric to put where.  I usually audition at least five fabrics for each pattern piece.

New Version

The flying geese above the mailbox signifies "Air Mail".

Yesterday, Mr. Joe, Zinny, and I drove to ThimbleCreek quilt shop in Concord to drop off patterns.  They have the nicest display of three of my quilts!  They've created a section for Sew'n Wild Oaks.  This group of quilts will travel around from shop to shop for awhile before they come home to stay.  When patterns sales start to slow, I know it's time to more them to another location.

I hope you all have a wonderful week quilting.

As always,
