Hello Everyone,
This is a blast from the past that I ran across while I was working on my presentation for the Paradise Guild. Back in 1996, when our oldest son turned 21, he thought it would be a good idea to go tandem skydiving with Mom & Dad. Would you believe we did it!
Each of us were solidly hooked to a professional skydiver. My professional was so handsome I was going to die happy! W also paid a photographer to jump with us so we could get our daredevil event on film. I was only going to do this once, and I wanted the
I loved it! I loved every minute of it. See, I'm smiling in this picture. In the video you can see every ounce of fat in my cheeks flapping in the breeze. You know what your dog looks like when it sticks her head out the window of the car and the jowls are flapping? Well, that was me. Every ounce of fat was flapping so hard it was a wonder my tandem partner didn't get whiplash.
A few years later when our daughter turned 21, she asked my sister Gail to go skydiving......AND she did it too! Our two sons, my cousin, and my sister all jumped together. Mr. Joe and I were on the ground looking up to the heavens counting the opening chutes of our loved ones. That filled me with more fear than jumping out of the plane!
Skydiving taught me an important lesson. If I can jump out of a plane at 12,000 feet, I can do anything! It also taught me that my life insurance policy would not pay out in the event of my demise.

Lynn, The Intrepid
I would have died of a heart attack - I shake just on the first rung of a ladder.
