It's That Time Again

Hello Everyone,

Put on the Christmas music, make a batch of eggnog, and get ready for the Christmas Quilt-a-long hosted by Paulette at Sweet P Quilting and Creations this Saturday, June 9th.  Yes, it is June already.
It is never too late to start your Christmas project planning.

I am not a fan of novelty Christmas fabric.  But I LOVE, really love to combine reds, greens and golds that have a' look' of Christmas about them.

The pasta dryer is now getting filled with strips.  Those of you that follow my blog know that some strip piecing is going to begin shortly in the sweat shop, I mean kitchen table, at Sew'n Wild Oaks!  My granddaughter and I will be a dynamic duo at the quilt-a-long this Saturday.  I guarantee that no child labor laws will be broken!

To add to the Christmas cheer, I'm also working on the binding for Country Charmer.  Harleigh and I decided this stripe would make a perfect binding for the Christmas quilt.

So dig through your fabric bins, closets and drawers, and let's make Christmas happen together this Saturday.  It is so much fun to travel around the globe and see what everyone else is making.  Something may just spark and idea and you are off to the races, making and finishing a project.

See you Saturday!

As always,

Lynn

  1. I'm with you....not a fan of "in your face" christmas fabric....but I do love the colors of christmas (maybe in deeper jewel tones of the colors). Can't wait to see more of your Christmas quilts
