Listed below are corrections to the Gentry's Mill pattern. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Page 1
Fabric A should read: Fussy Cut (10) strips 1-5/8" x WOF - not (6)
Page 7
Piece D should read: Cut (8) 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" squares - not 6-1/4" x 6-1/4"
Pages 10, 11, 12
Piece G should read: Cut (1) strip 6-1/2" x WOF. Then subcut (16) 6-1/2" x 1-1/2" from that strip. For a total of (16) rectangles - not 32
How do you cut your borders the length of fabric accurately? Do you fold your fabric, slide the ruler along the length? Any advice you give me , will be very much appreciated. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your question, Robyne. I do not fold the fabric when I cut the borders. I put a large cutting mat on my dining room table and slide the long ruler along the length. I pull the fabric toward me, slide the ruler and cut. I put the tutorial out on my blog for the first installment of Gentry's Mill. Did you see it? I didn't cover cutting the borders, but there is other valuable information about making the first four blocks. If you didn't receive it or see it, send me an email at: sewnwildoaks@gmail.com and I'll send it to you.
