Hello Everyone,
Many quilters spent a delightful day at the Purple Orchid Resort and Spa on Saturday for an elegant Tea sponsored by In Between Stitches. Pati Violick from Marcus Fabrics, and Vicki Bellino from Bloom Creek were the honored guests.
The girls started lining up early to get a good spot....of tea!
The tables were beautifully set with vintage plates. Too bad this photographer didn't get a picture of them! Melissa, one of the co-owners of In Between Stitches started the festivities with a basic overview of English Paper Piecing.
I presented a mini how-to presentation of Lucy Boston blocks.
Each of the attendees worked on a small, EPP project throughout the day.
Pati and Vicki presented the new Strip-it fabric for EPP. WOW, is it something! Click HERE for a link to the Marcus Fabrics blog.
Vicki brought some of her fabulous creations. Click HERE for the link to her website.
The following two pictures contains blocks that were made from Strip-it fabric.

This quilt was made with the new Elizabeth's Dowry fabric.
The center and the four corners is a panel. You have to look closely to be able to tell that it isn't paper-pieced.
Here are long-time friends Pati and Vicki. They are a hoot together.
Here I am with Pati. The last time I saw her was over breakfast at Spring Market in Salt Lake. She is absolutely delightful!
Off to work at the shop this morning. A busy week is ahead with class tomorrow, then some machine quilting is in my future!
Soon,
Lynn
Such a lovely day! I was so sorry to be ill and miss it! Happy you all had such a beautiful tea party and sharing of ideas and techniques. The Marcus blog has some pics of the tables and a nice shout out to the event: http://marcusmentions.com
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like fun, but I do hope all the attendees made sure to crook their little finger whilst drinking their Team?
ReplyDeleteOh what fun that must have been! Too bad Sue wasn't there to instruct on proper English Tea Etiquette!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
What a fun venue - our guild needs to have a tea meeting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun event! Great to see EPP growing :0)
