Quails Nest Quilting Company

Hello Everyone,

Last Thursday I did a mini trunk show and Patchwork Math demonstration throughout the entire day at Quails Nest Quilting Company, a new quilt shop in Sonora, CA.  The picture below is my Emilie Elizabeth pattern.

Quilters were coming and going during the day while I demonstrated Patchwork Math.  Susan and Tara provided a wonderful assortment of teas, coffee, sweet rolls and bread for the session.

Here's Buttonwood on display.

Some of these quilts look a bit familiar too!  Country Charmer, Heartfire and Once Upon a Vine.  I'll be teaching a full blown Patchwork Math class at Quails Nest on February 21, 2017. Susan is generously offering a $75.00 gift certificate to one lucky person who registers for the class before February 1st.  The winner will be announced during the class.

Monday I'm teaching Madrigal at Cloth and Quilts in Turlock.  I like this quilt so much that I've made it twice.

Today my twin granddaughters turn 14.  My daughter put this collage together on her FB page.  We will be spending the day with them out in the sunshine.  I'll be on the sidelines of the soccer field cheering for Emily, while Mr. Joe is on the softball field cheering for Kinsey.  They are growing up to be beautiful, intelligent young women with a great sense of humor.  Love them to pieces!

Time spent with family is always the best!

Soon,
Lynn

  2. Great trunk show! I'm glad to see you and this new shop supporting one another. I wish we had time to stop past Quails Nest during their soft opening, but that new little guy back in Sac was tugging at my heartstrings. Like your beautiful girls, he's already growing up too fast, so says his Mama!

  3. Happy Birthday Emily & Kinsey!!!!!
So glad the class went well...Irene and I stopped by the Quails Nest on our way home from the retreat. I bought a fall fabric jelly roll which my husband (having a hunger pang in the middle of the night) actually picked up from the table thinking it was something to eat!! He was somewhat surprised but I've gotten quite a bit of mileage out of it!

  6. Happy Birthday to your Beautiful Grand Daughters. They are so lovely and gifted and loved.
Your class looked wonderful. I would love to attend one of your trunk shows someday even though I think I have seen most, it still would be fun. Those lucky ladies at Quails Nest were in for a treat and will be in for even more as February quickly will approach. See you soon!!!!

  7. Happy Birthday to the girls! Perhaps one day they'll be talented quilters like their grandma!
I'm sure there will be a whole new group of Sew'n Wild Oaks Quilters at the Quail's Nest!
Note to Paula...if we could only find a way to get our hubbies to cure those midnight hunger pangs with quilter's jelly rolls, they might be a whole lot skinner and we'd have a heck of a lot more stash - LOL!
    Cheers!
