Sew;n Wild Oaks September Retreat

 Hello Everyone,

I don't know where to begin to tell you about the fabulous time we had last week at my Sew'n Wild Oaks Retreat.  It started with these beautiful rolls of Farmer's Daughter fabrics by Pam Buda for Marcus Fabrics.  This was the start of the first giveaway.

The following pictures are of the "tablemates".  Everyone got along so well and were so supportive of each other.

I could do about 6 more posts to include all of the images of the beautiful projects we saw during the four day retreat.

The longest distance anyone traveled was from Idaho.

Nancy is trying to convince me that this little 9-patch was what she completed in one day.

The weather was so gorgeous we could sit outside for appetizers every night before dinner.

The food was delicious and we NEVER went hungry.

I think the girls called this "wag the dog".  Apparently it is supposed to be good for your back.  Some retreats hire a massage therapist.  This is a do it yourself retreat including getting down on the floor, and wagging your foot.  All of these girls had a plan for getting back up again!

I taught a few class throughout the retreat.

Emily was kind enough to do a guest lecture for us.

Some of the girls took the bear bells with them for walks around the lake.

It was a great afternoon break.

I can't wait to spend more time with this group.  We laughed until we cried....most of it at my expense.....Julie!  We were filled to the brim with inspiration and joy.  We were all blessed beyond belief to have so many wonderful days together.  You girls rock!  I love you all.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you next year as the quilters fly north to Snowflake Lake for the Sew'n Wild Oaks Retreat.

Soon,
Lynn

  1. Snowflake Lake? You know the second most wonderful thing I noticed in this post (first is all happy faces and beautiful quilts)? All those ironing board LOL. Those of us at the Oct. 2019 retreat can sure appreciate such a sight!

  2. Your pictures are worth 29,000 words, Lynn!!! So many happy faces. At one point I DID read your captions out of order and initially thought that "wag the dog" referred to the movement of picking food from the buffet!!!

  3. These are wonderful pictures and so many happy faces. Beautiful beautiful work by these great women. It looks like your weather was perfect!!! I have to admire these ladies on the floor. We both know rhe effects of exerting ones self from a lowered position can do.
