Hello Everyone,
I only have time for a quick post this morning to show you the kits I've been putting together for the vinyl project bags. This is one of the projects I'm offering at my Sew'n Wild Oaks Retreat at the end of the month. It is the first of four retreats for this year.
My friend Candace made the three bags on the right. I made the one on the left. They are so much fun to make, and they are so easy to make. I love mine for storing my specialized quilting rulers and other tools. They measure 13" x 13", and they hold a lot!
Each kit includes the batting, vinyl, directions, a yard of fabric and an adorable little matching zipper pull.
Oooo, I hope you'll have some kits in September! I've been wanting to make some of these for my embroidery projects. Have fun at your April retreat ... what happens at the retreat, stays at the retreat! :)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, Julie. I will be making more kits throughout the summer.
DeleteActually, they're like bunnies - they multiply fast! Thanks for showing my bags, Lynn, they truly are addicting to make! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWell at your home the finished bags multiply quickly. At my home, the kits multiply like rabbits!
DeleteLOL!!!!!
DeleteWhat pattern for the vinyl bags, just in case I want to make some? I live to far away to come to your class.
ReplyDeletePlease send your email address to my email: sewnwildoaks@gmail.com and I'll send you the pattern. It was an older Moda pattern which is no longer available. My friend Candace made some revisions and improvements to the original pattern.
DeleteThese look like LOTS of fun, and so useful. I'll be keen to see how the gals finish them up.
ReplyDeleteThey are a fun to make, and useful at the same time.
DeleteI would like the pattern for the project bags. Are the pattern and kits available for purchase?

Send me your email Cindy and I'll email you the pattern. I need to keep my remaining kits for the next retreat. My email is: sewnwildoaks@gmail.com
