Borders......Check

Hello Everyone,

I've been dragging my feet just waiting for a spark of inspiration for the borders on Country Charm.  First, I waited and looked at every new bolt of Christmas fabric that arrived at the shop.  I almost went with a green polka dot, but in the end I turned to my stash and was able to cobble a border together from my fabric cupboard.  I just have a few scraps remaining of the two reds.  It was touch and go trying to figure this one out.

I have so many different reds going on in this quilt, that I felt safe to stick with another shade of red.  Now, the next step is, how to quilt this quilt?  I'll have to study it for the next few days and wait for more inspiration....which I hope arrives soon!  I have deadlines to meet.

Have a great weekend!

As always,

Lynn

  2. Another great quilt.... Love it.. I hope you post it again once you've quilted it! My friend was at Thimble Creeks yesterday ... She has the Madrigal quilt pattern too, she told me she likes the yellow one better then the back one. She also said if you did quilting for others you'd be so swamped with quilt you'd be very rich! When I go to Jo's club I sit there most of the time just admiring your beautiful quilting!

  8. Your quilt is fantastic. I think red was absolutely right for the border, and isn't it satisfying when you have got just enough fabric - no wastage that way!

  10. It's always fun coming back and seeing what I've missed here, Lynn! I love the borders on this and how the nine patches run diagonally out to the corners! Can't wait to see how you quilt it!
