Loire Valley Fabrics

Hello Everyone,

A box of fabric arrived from Marcus Fabrics.  I start to hyperventilate when I see a Marcus box on my doorstep.  The fabric is called Loire Valley by Karen Stiles.  I stared, petted, folded and refolded the fabrics for two days.

Then I made this block.....my first attempt at half of an 8-point star.  I took my time, and the seams lined up beautifully.  Before I began, I read several tutorials online, and in books.  I came up with a couple of hints of my own that I will share with you in a tutorial.  Those "pointy bits" as Quilt Sue would say, can be a little tricky.

My focus will be from this side of the palette.

I'm packing up this week and heading to the mountains for my retreat.  My packing list is long and my to-do list is even longer. With Mr. Joe's help, I'm turning it into my to-done list!

Soon,
Lynn
