The delivery driver brought one of the best boxes ever into the shop on Monday. It contained Blueberry Crumb Cake by Blackbird Designs. My mind immediately started designing and dreaming what this fabric could become.
This is what I came up with so far. Lots of nice open space to quilt a feathered wreath. There is also a putty-color in the line. I may incorporate it....or not. I want to see how this color combination plays out on the design wall first. I only have fat quarters to work with, so I added the white and blue paisley from my stash, which is a perfect match.
Be creative today and Blueberry Crumb Cake anyone?
Yum indeed! Love these colours, and the design you've come up with is lovely! Love the name of this line, too!ReplyDelete
Looks like fun! I love it when the fabric sparks creativity.ReplyDelete
Just love this fabric ! Can't wait to see it in person ! Looking forward to seeing how your design comes alongReplyDelete
Yum, I ordered fat quarters. Of the line before heading on holidays, hope it is waiting for me whenI get home, so I can play too.ReplyDelete
Lynn....beautiful design.....beautiful fabric....How do you come up with all this?ReplyDelete
I must have behind the door when God handed out the artistic design brains.....LOL
Oh, my! First thing I thought of was winter, Lynn! I can totally see that feathery wreath in the center of those blocks! And blueberry crumbcake, too - now that's a fine recipe for a quilt!ReplyDelete
MMM I've been drooling over this since I first saw it... Can't wait to get some.ReplyDelete
I'm anxious to see what you make; looks good so far. I saw this fabric line online and love it.ReplyDelete
I love this range. I tried to win a FQ bundle on the Moda blog hop - needless to say, I failed, otherwise I should think you'd have heard me shrieking even with all that sea and stuff between us.ReplyDelete
